1. State the primary function or overall purpose of your position.

The primary purpose of this position is to conduct electrical testing in the low power lab to meet the demands of Eaton?s engineering departments to achieve product development, sustaining, and certification goals. Additional requirements will be to maintain the lab test equipment, prepare and process test reports, manage lab work load, track test request status, implement and maintain 5S activities, write lab reports, and participate in the strategic planning of lab and equipment upgrades.

A. Conduct various electrical tests in accordance with UL, CSA, IEC and NEMA standards for electrical distribution products, as required, to meet the product development and sustaining testing demands.

B. Support site MESH activities to ensure safe conditions have been met in accordance with appropriate legislative and

E. Maintain / organize test records and testing data and all associated forms.
F. Conduct daily duties to ensure lab function ability and communicate to supervisor any issues or concerns.

G. Develop, produce, and archive formal test reports.
I. Maintain knowledge of applicable IEC, UL, and NEMA testing standards for electrical components and assemblies.

J. Maintain and manage equipment calibrations for the lab and coordinate with sub contract companies, as needed, to complete required activities.

K. Design and document test methods and perform setup of highly specialized electrical component and assemblies tests.

L. Assist in managing the test schedule for the Low Power Lab.
