Summary:
Work with local leadership and regional customers to improve grain origination and marketing while maintaining the quality of grain receipts and the proper conditioning, storage and shipment.
The role you will play:
- Grain origination and marketing
- Contract management with local producers and commercial grain trading partners
- Communicate daily grain bids, interact with customers using different methods (email, phone, text, Bushel app) and recap month end performance for financial statements.
- Working with annual budgets in the $15-20 Mil range
- Assist leadership with grain risk management: daily grain positions, exposure and hedging trades in the market
- Annual planning of grain position: monthly production needs, stored quantities, timing in/out of harvest and buying/selling activities to support operations
- Adhere to and reinforce the Merchandising Policy
