A well-respected industry leader in livestock services is expanding its swine team and seeking a Swine Consultant to support its continued growth. In this role, you will join a high-performing, collaborative sales team focused on delivering innovative, results-driven solutions to large-scale and progressive swine producers across the Eastern Corn Belt.

The Job                                                          
You'll work hands-on with a diverse portfolio of swine producers, from 200 to 2 million pigs, spending about 80% of your time in the field. You'll provide strategic consulting in nutrition, operations, and risk management while building trusted relationships with key decision-makers. As part of a collaborative team, you'll share client responsibilities, contribute to planning discussions, and grow your own book of business while driving customer success.

Job Requirements

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years experience in swine production, farm consulting, or outside sales
  • Solid understanding of swine or livestock production (nutrition background a plus)
  • Experienced in managing or supporting commercial-scale pig operations
  • Open to transitioning from production into a sales or consulting role
  • Communicates effectively with both barn staff and executive-level stakeholders
  • Builds rapport quickly and maintains trusted relationships
  • Proficient with Excel, business software, and industry-specific tools
  • Highly customer-focused with a genuine desire to help producers succeed
  • Willing to travel regionally up to 30%, depending on location
  • Based in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, or Western Pennsylvania
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-driven environment
