Summary:
 
The Leader will provide leadership and direction to a team of 60 indirect and 5 direct reports in a 24/7 operation in Wicomico County, MD, improving its efficiency and productivity to ensure profitability,
 
The role you will play:
  • Train and develop the staff to meet the needs of the business.
  • Oversee 60 associates with 5 direct reports
  • Provide Leadership for safety programs to ensure safe working conditions 
  • Compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Ensure the safety and legality of manufactured product.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements for environmental programs 
  • Manage production and operations to ensure maximum equipment and personnel utilization.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Superintendent to execute operational tasks and preventative maintenance.

Job Requirements

 

Background Profile:
  • 8-10 years of leading and managing teams 
  • Candidates can come from a variety of industries
  • A BS Degree is preferred, with an HS Diploma required
  • Have a working knowledge of manufacturing, processing, distribution, or large operations
  • Experience managing a team of at least 40 people at any one time; more would be ideal
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience mentoring others
  • Track record of developing staff to pursue positions of increasing responsibility
  • Involved with the training, implementation, and monitoring of safety programs
  • Knowledge of compliance with applicable environmental programs
  • Track record of success in meeting or exceeding production expectations
