Come join a growing multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers designing the next generation nuclear power plant. EGS is seeking to add an experienced mechanical/civil/structural analyst to its Applied Mechanics Group. The senior analyst would be called upon to analyze metallic, reinforced concrete and soil-subgrade supported structures.
Positions are available in Camden, NJ and Covert, MI and Buchanan, NY. Great benefits and relocation assistance available.
Typical analyses include:
Static and dynamic finite element modeling and analyses (FEA) using ANSYS
Drop and impact (e.g., missile and aircraft) analyses and target response using LS-DYNA
Simulation of the seismic response of freestanding structures in air or submerged in water
Static and dynamic analyses of large reinforced concrete structures
Soil-structure interaction (SSI) analyses with freestanding and/or anchored structures
Beam and plate stress calculations using established principles of strength of materials
