Quality Assurance Site Representative Duties include but are not limited to: 
* Review and prepare procurement documentation germane to quality assurance, quality engineering, and quality control requirements. 
* Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of processes, procedures, and applications contributing to the overall objective of sustaining an effective engineering, procurement, and program Quality Management System. 
* Perform onsite NCR investigations and verifications. 
* Coordinate and/or conduct audits and surveillances of quality-affecting engineering, procurement, construction, and ancillary project work.

  1. Education/Experience: Position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or industrial systems engineering or a related field and 8 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
  2. Advanced level knowledge and application of nuclear codes and standards. For example: 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, DOE Order 414.1D, national consensus standard ASME NQA-1-2008/ASME NQA-1a-2009 Addenda to ASME NQA-1 - 2008, ISO 9001, and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Regulatory Guide Series or equivalent. 
  3. Advanced level technical knowledge of the application of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code for the procurement, fabrication, inspection, testing and In-Service inspection & evaluation of Pressure Vessels and Piping. 
  4. Advanced level experience participating in and supporting quality assessments, surveillances, audits and/or NonConformance disposition and closure. 
  5. Advanced ability to understand and interpret various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, specifications, and schematics. 
  6. Advanced ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel across multiple organizations to solve complex problems 
  7. Experience participating in and supporting quality assessments, surveillances, audits and/or Non-Conformance disposition and closure. 
  8. Sufficient application experience to comprehend specified requirements in disciplines that include welding, nondestructive testing, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance. 
  9. Knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction practices sufficient to comprehend specified requirements in disciplines that include Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and application of the graded approach in an NQA-1 environment. 
  10. Eight years of experience as a Certified Welding Inspector - American Welding Society (AWS-CWI) 
  11. Current certification or previous certifications in three or more of the following NDE Level II Inspection (RT, UT, MT, PT, VT), Piping or Pressure Vessel Inspection, Mechanical Inspections. 
  12. Currently have or can obtain a Q level Clearance. 
  13. Work will be an onsite LANL representative at a vessel construction subcontractor's facility in either the Midwest or Northeast (position is 100% remote)
