Business Analyst - IT

SUMMARY:
Hybrid - 90% remote, 10% onsite. Candidate must live within 100-150 miles from SRNS. The candidate will be expected to report on site 2 times/month and as needed. The 'as needed' is rare, but the ability to do so is required.
The IT Technical and Business Analyst provides value-added services by streamlining business processes focusing on producing quality and timely IT products and services. These products include governance initiatives, procurement, project management, procedure maintenance, data calls/audits, contracts, budget formulation and execution, communications, continuous improvement, risk management, and the operational excellence program. Primary responsibilities of this position include supporting projects and modifying strategic documents; learning to write business-specific documents with a technical perspective; working under supervision to meet firm deadlines and key milestones; learning SRNS and relevant section/department systems and requirements for accomplishing tasks; demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills; utilizing organizational skills; and developing technical documentation for specified assignments. Some of the major responsibilities:
Participates in the performance and support of day-to-day activities for assigned work/teams.
Under direction, develops mind maps or uses other tools to create work schedules and obtains management concurrence.
Provides regular status updates and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Collects data and performs business and technical support analysis, selects appropriate tools and demonstrates creative abilities in developing outlines, formats, and graphics. Uses templates appropriately.
Drafts and incorporates editorial changes into a final product for various IT products and publications. including presentations, written reports, and metrics.
Collects, organizes, presents data, and performs data analysis to meet target audience needs. Identifies and designs changes to existing reports and creates reports as needed. Summarizes report findings for management and selects appropriate presentation of data for IT reports.
Provides program support by answering inquiries from outside groups, maintaining necessary software and generating needed reports, and providing feedback to management on ongoing efforts.
Demonstrates awareness of total quality through the development and submittal of improvement suggestions.
Provides feedback on Site- and Department-level procedures. Participates in quality-related activities as assigned.
Applies IT knowledge toward the improvement of software and quality of other deliverables with an eye toward the reduction of process steps and costs where possible, while incorporating new ideas resulting from internal and external analysis.
Working under supervision monitors and achieves individual and team goals.
Collaboratively uses good verbal and written communication and technical understanding skills to develop a broad range of communications and other work products that are effective and demonstrate. understanding of IT mission, strategy, and operations and how IT processes and procedures fit therein.
Resolves routine problems and communications where response is based on existing procedures; refers more complex problems to higher-level peers or management. Has a working knowledge of group priorities and ensures that work progresses on schedule.
Learning to assume responsibilities of primary administrative support for the program. Collaborates with work group to meet needs expressed inside and outside the work group. Takes initiative to act when opportunities for improvement are identified.

Takes ownership of assigned administrative tasks, providing regular reporting as required. Develops job aids and supporting documentation and demonstrates administrative tasks to others. Assists group Members in troubleshooting issues. Makes specific changes in work methods or systems to improve performance.
The shift schedule is determined by job assignment and may include an off-hours schedule.

Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline with 2 years of practical experience OR
