EGS is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Configuration Management Engineer to join our team at a DOE facility located in Carlsbad, NM. Positions come with top pay plus full government Per Diem. Must be a US Citizen.
The successful candidate will analyze, design, and develop administrative, technical, and engineering work process documents in support of a nuclear operating facility. The candidate will be the back-up of the Master Equipment List (MEL) Administrator, which will require technical oversight and guidance to ensure the MEL of structures, systems, and components is maintained. The candidate will be the back-up capacity as Management Level Determinations (MLD) Administrator for applying adequate and appropriate controls to systems, structures, components, activities, procurements, and work control documents in accordance with procedure. The candidate will train on and assist with completion of and processing of Maintenance Deferral Requests, Periodic Maintenance Identification Forms, and Engineering Services Requests, assuring auditable documentation is maintained. This position requires interaction and coordination with various site organizations, e.g., Work Control, Operations, Maintenance, Regulatory Environmental Services, and Training.
Duties:
- Performs systems engineering process for establishing and maintaining consistency of engineering procedures and design documents as they relate to the performance, functionality, and physical attributes of site SSCs throughout the SSCs life cycle per WP 09-11, Configuration Management Plan.
- Maintains the MEL.
- Ensures procedural adherence to the Commercial Grade Item/Service Dedication Process and the Management Level Determination Process.
- Processes Engineering Service Request and Periodic Maintenance Identification Forms.
