We are seeking a Hoisting and Rigging (H&R) SME who will focus on providing leadership, support, and guidance to the employees of the Hoisting and Rigging Group daily, enabling them to perform their tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Must be US Citizen.
A bachelor's degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of ten years of experience in Hoisting and Rigging regulations (OSHA, NCCCO, ANSI, etc.) and a minimum of 3 years of management experience
Experience working with requirements-based systems in areas such as facility operations, maintenance, and material handling
Master's degree in field related to the position (structural or mechanical engineering)
Five years in a supervisory or management role.
Familiarity with labor relations principles and working within a collective bargaining union contract environment is highly desirable.
Experience with process improvement techniques such as Lean Six Sigma and Human Performance Indicators.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and to participate creatively in collaborative teams across the laboratory
Ability to function well in a fast-paced research environment, set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs
