The Senior Bridge Engineer is responsible for performing complex calculation and design tasks to develop plans, details, specifications, and quantities related to the design and detailing of bridge and other structural elements for a variety of highway and railroad bridge types, retaining walls, and other structural elements. The Senior Bridge Engineer will also be responsible for participating in project proposal preparation and interview teams, as requested, assisting in the development innovative technical concepts that will differentiate company from its competitors, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients' technical counterparts to understand emerging trends and issues, and sharing intelligence with company's client service teams. SALARY RANGE:
$109,000.00 - $137,400.00

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
❖ Lead aspects of projects and tasks in the role of a senior task leader related to the design of bridges and other structural elements, promoting innovative design and construction strategies and safety in construction
❖ Develop and oversee the development of plans, specifications, and estimates for a variety of bridge types and structural elements
❖ Develop and oversee the development of alternative analyses, shop drawing reviews, prepare technical reports and responses to RFIs, etc.
❖ Be accountable for all internal processes and procedures (e.g. QC, safety, etc.), promote consistency and best practices, and conform to all standards and code requirements as it relates to the above responsibilities on your projects
❖ Perform, coordinate, and delegate tasks to other staff, as appropriate, to drive the development and production of deliverables, on-time and on or within budget to meet client specifications outlined in the contract for these types of structural components.
❖ Demonstrate excellent technical and professional engineering skills commensurate with years of experience
❖ Develop/meet assigned project goals, objectives, and budgets to ensure on-schedule, accurate completion of all project deliverables within or below budget
❖ Ensure that the design team adheres to company safety, quality, and technical policies and procedures during the execution of the team's projects
❖ Oversee the development and mentoring of younger staff to promote a high-quality, innovative, well-rounded design team.
❖ Demonstrate a proactive, collaborative approach with project team members, client representatives, subconsultants, contractors, review agencies and others as appropriate for the project
