Kleinfelder has a great opportunity in Great Valley for a Senior Civil Engineer.  We have flexibility to consider Stockton, Fresno or Sacramento areas and offer a hybrid work schedule.
 
Kleinfelder is experiencing rapid growth in the areas of Power, Water, Transportation and Infrastructure throughout our company.  We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer familiar with the markets in California and the Western U.S.. This position will be supported by over 3000 employees and teams familiar with delivering similar projects nationwide. 
 
The role will provide significant infrastructure engineering opportunities for a candidate looking to grow a successful career. They will work on challenging and diverse engineering opportunities throughout California and help build existing client relationships through active project participation and management. The successful candidate will lead a high performing team of design staff to complete high quality work safely, on schedule, and profitably. 
 
Essential Functions:
  • Provide engineering solutions through actively working with clients on projects
  • Mentor staff on technical design and provide review of design documents for engineering projects
  • Support business development growth through working with strategic pursuits leaders utilizing our established local and regional network
  • Lead proposal development by supervising and writing proposals
  • Manage multi-discipline projects by creatively solving our client's challenges, making health and safety a priority, and being up to speed with industry best practices
  • Supervise staff with respect to engineering services, project development and identify a path for their success
  • Provide engaged leadership, support the vision of the company, and contribute positively to our ecosystem mindset at all levels

  • Land planning & conceptual layouts
  • Erosion and sedimentation control
  • Grading plans
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and water management planning
  • Storm water management planning and environmental permitting
 
Job Qualifications:
  • California Professional Engineering license is required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required - Master's degree in Engineering is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with 3 years of experience in a manager level role
  • Knowledge of project controls including estimating, scheduling, risk management, and cost control
  • Experience in working with marketing teams developing new business, creating qualifications and cost proposals, and contracting
  • Commitment to leading stewardship of health and safety programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thrives in a dynamic and highly entrepreneurial environment

 

This position may require work on projects requiring full vaccination from COVID-19.  If that is the case, you will be required to show proof of vaccination or an acceptable exemption in order to work on the project.
