Kleinfelder seeking an Integrated Facilities Design Division Senior Project Manager (Project Manager III) to join our team in the Bowling Green, Ohio office.


We are looking for candidate who can thrive in a team-oriented workplace.  Kleinfelder's Integrated Facilities Design Division is looking for an experienced Design Leader and Project Manager to guide multi-discipline design teams in a wide range of exiting projects in the Midwest region.   In this client facing position you will lead a talented and experienced design teams in site/civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing in designing industrial and commercial building projects.


Candidates must be experienced in the design of industrial and commercial projects.  Related experience in design of municipal water and wastewater facilities is preferred.  The ability to advance is promoted within the company structure and highly motivated individuals are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities required for this position include:

  • adhere to organizational standards for safety, quality, and performance
  • client and project development
  • attend preproposal meetings and assist in developing project scope and fees
  • tracking of proposals for status, win probability, and weighted sales
  • assist in preparing Opinion of Probable Costs estimates
  • develop and implement project plans and design schedules
  • lead design meetings with clients and design team; prepare meeting minutes
  • guide multi-discipline design teams in preparation of Construction Documents (plans and specifications)
  • guide implementation of technical and quality reviews in compliance with Kleinfelder policies
  • project management accountability for project quality, schedule, and budget
  • technical expertise in industrial, commercial, water, and wastewater projects
  • project bidding, construction administration, and construction phase services
  • client management skills to manage scope changes, resolve problems, and foster repeat work
  • business development/client development
  • mentor and develop younger team members to raise the level of the team and to assist in succession planning
  • assist in department leadership in setting standards, best practices, and establishing a winning culture


A BS in Construction Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering is required.  Ten plus years as Design Leader or Project Manager is preferred.
