Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager- Production (Machining) for our Marion, AR plant.  The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a production schedule and information within the department. The primary responsibility includes overseeing the evening shift of  production machining area ensuring Production goals are met along with keeping Safety and Quality goals as main priority.  

Job Duties:  

  • Maintaining a safe work area and ensuring Team Members adhere to safe work practices. 

  • Lead Team Members in the department to ensure optimal performance. 

  • Maintain and analyze metrics to assess performance and implement improvements.  

  • Work closely with team members to ensure the smooth flow of information and maintain a cooperative and positive work environment. 

  • Analyze problems, determine approach, compiles, and analyzes data, and prepares reports/recommendations.  

  • Identify any issues in trends and bring them to the attention of management. 

  • Perform administrative tasks and work on special projects as assigned. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirement: 

  • 5+ years of working experience in a Supervisory/Leadership role in automotive manufacturing environment. 

  • 5-10 years' experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment. 

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or operations management related field or equivalent amount of work experience.  

Skills Required: 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills. 

  • Ability to effectively delegate, manage and prioritize multiple assignments, to meet deadlines/targets. 

  • Intermediate to Advanced skill level with MS Excel preferred. 

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of confidence, poise, and efficient time management skills when multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment. 

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with customers and team.
