Materials Analyst. 

1.5x OT after 40 hours and 2x DT on Sunday or Holidays.

Temp assignment 90 days
Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate and efficient movement of materials, parts, and products within the manufacturing facility. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials to ensure that production areas are adequately supplied and that inventory is properly managed. The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting production operations by ensuring that materials are available when needed, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and following company policies and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely and efficiently move materials, parts, and products between various locations within the facility, including receiving areas, warehouses, and production lines.
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles, ensuring that materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
  • Operate material handling equipment to transport materials as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by recording material movements, conducting regular cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Ensure that materials are properly labeled, stored, and organized to facilitate easy access and inventory control.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy, ensuring that they meet company standards and match purchase orders.
  • Prepare and package finished products for shipment, ensuring that all orders are accurately fulfilled and shipped on time.
  • Ensure that production lines are continuously supplied with the necessary materials, minimizing downtime and supporting efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to anticipate material needs and respond quickly to any requests for additional supplies.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Follow all regulatory and company guidelines for the safe handling, storage, and disposal of materials.
  • Identify opportunities to improve material handling processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in a material handling, warehouse, or similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the commercial vehicle or automotive industry.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the commercial vehicle manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in material handling.
