Job Description

Position Overview:
 We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Quality Manager to join our Columbia City team. This is a full-time position where you will work closely with employees on the shop floor to ensure product quality, drive continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management, a passion for problem-solving, and experience with ISO and IATF standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the quality assurance process, ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with production staff to address quality issues in real-time, providing hands-on support and guidance.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, maintaining certification and driving ongoing audits.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and monitor the effectiveness of improvements.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics, reporting regularly to management on performance.
  • Train and mentor employees on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Act as the primary contact for customer and internal quality concerns, facilitating quick resolution and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Prepare and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory and customer requirements.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Proven ability to implement and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Hands-on approach, with a willingness to spend time on the production floor engaging with staff and processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with team members at all levels.
