Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dentist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a commitment to preventive care, and experience in the unique needs of young patients. The Pediatric Dentist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dental issues, providing preventive care, educating parents and children on oral hygiene, and creating a warm and engaging environment that reduces anxiety for young patients.

Treating the great community of Huntsville AL in our kid friendly dental practice.

  • Working Days: Monday to Thursday
  • Working Hours: 8:00AM to 4:00PM. We break for lunch from 12:00PM to 1:00PM.
  • Number of staff: 1 PSC, 1 PSC/DA, 2 DAs, 1 Hygienist, 1 OM
  • Schedule of Care: 4 columns for hygiene and 2 columns for OPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Work with a diverse staff of fun and friendly people who love working with children!
  • OPs including Hygiene checks
  • Perform comprehensive dental exams, preventive care, and necessary treatments for children from infants to adolescents.
  • Diagnose and treat oral health issues such as cavities, gum disease, and other dental conditions in young patients.
  • Perform routine pediatric dental procedures, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings, and extractions.
  • Educate and guide patients and their families on proper oral hygiene, brushing, and flossing techniques.
  • Use behavior management techniques to ensure children feel safe and comfortable, including children with special needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on the dental health needs and goals of each child.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in pediatric dental practices and technologies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all regulatory guidelines and infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with other dental professionals and office staff to provide a seamless and high-quality patient experience.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of a pediatric dental residency program and board certification in Pediatric Dentistry preferred.
  • Valid state dental license and other applicable certifications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Strong communication skills for educating and informing both patients and parents.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning.
