Navy Electrician Technician
We are looking for a Naval Electrician Technician to join our growing team of technical trainers.   Trainers will teach technicians and operators on a variety of electrical equipment from manufacturing to commercial power plants.  Electrical Technicians are responsible for the operation of electrical power generation systems, lighting systems, electrical equipment and electrical appliances.
Responsibilities
The duties include installation, operation, adjustment, routine maintenance, inspection, test and repair of electrical equipment. Electrician Technician also perform maintenance and repair of related electronic equipment.  
The duties performed by the Electrician Technician include installing power and lighting circuits and repairing distribution circuits. They run wiring for lights and other equipment, and maintain operating efficiency of distribution panels, switches, switchboards, controllers, voltage regulators, current transformers, voltage transformers, and electric motors.
Electrician Technician repair electrical equipment and appliances, install and maintain storage batteries, and inspect, maintain, test and repair electric power equipment. The electricians also provide maintenance and repair and interpret electrical sketches, diagrams and blueprints. They maintain and repair various propulsion and auxiliary control consoles and connect electric power machinery and electric power equipment.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements
5-10 years installation, operation, adjustment, routine maintenance, inspection, test and repair of electrical equipment.
Our ideal candidate should have a solid understanding electrical equipment repair and appliances, installation and maintenance of storage batteries, and inspections: the ability to maintain, test and repair electric power equipment
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
Proficiency in using tools and equipment necessary for the job
Strong mechanical aptitude
Physical strength and stamina to perform strenuous tasks
Understanding of safety protocols and procedures
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred
Strong proficiency in MS Office applications
Effective presentation/public speaking skills
Experienced with problem solving tools
Demonstrated ability to coach and teach others
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to communicate details from executive level to plant staff level
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work off shift hours as necessary
Self-motivated and directed
Driving required: must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
*Work different shifts and/or work weekends, including overtime.
 * Work in hot and/or cold environments
 * Work around heavy equipment or manufacturing machinery
 * Wear safety equipment such as safety glasses, sleeves, earplugs and steel-toed shoes
 * Stand or walk for long periods of time each day
 * Frequently bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 40 pounds
 * Strong verbal communication skills
 * Ability to work in a team environment
