The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of production and operating employees within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures production targets are met while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Supervise daily production operations and provide leadership to production staff.
- Recommend and implement improvements to production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and overall efficiency.
- Review operational performance and collaborate with technical and administrative teams to resolve production or processing issues.
- Develop and manage production tracking and quality control systems.
- Analyze production, maintenance, and quality data to identify and address operational challenges.
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members; address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate production reports, personnel documentation, and performance records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and manufacturing best practices.
- Strong verbal communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and quality control systems.
- Familiarity with industrial machinery, tools, and equipment maintenance principles.
- Understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and production documentation.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree in Business, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within automotive manufacturing.
- Fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Flexible schedule required, including overtime and weekend work as needed.
- May require standing, walking, and working in an industrial environment for extended periods.
