WHAT YOU'LL DO End‑to‑End Training Development
Build automotive technical training across multiple formats: Instructor‑led training (ILT) E‑learning modules (Articulate Storyline, Rise 360) Microlearning Quick Reference Guides & job aids E‑books and digital courses
Conduct SME interviews and gather technical content Capture photos and reference images onsite in the vehicle garage as needed
Instructional Design & Media Development Create comprehensive storyboards and polished video scripts Design engaging training elements using graphics, audio, video, and interactivity Develop simulations, drag‑and‑drops, layered graphics, and other advanced interactions Integrate voiceover, transitions, and multimedia assets
Quality, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Collaborate closely with SMEs, commodity managers, and peer authors Incorporate feedback and handle iterative script revisions Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements Stay current with emerging training tech, tools, and design methodologies Support team activities such as Train‑the‑Trainer programs and curriculum updates

Job Requirements
MUST‑HAVE SKILLS Candidates MUST demonstrate at least one of the following profiles: Profile A - Instructional Design Focus
Strong portfolio demonstrating complex, interactive Storyline work (required) Ability to build drag‑and‑drops, triggers, pseudo‑simulations, layered graphics, etc. Experience developing technical or technical‑adjacent training (preferred) Ability to interview SMEs and take meticulous notes Strong writing ability and understanding of training objectives
Profile B - Automotive / Technical Focus
Solid automotive or mechanical foundation (school or work experience) Proven technical aptitude-comfortable with tools, vehicle systems, diagnostics Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally Must be able to learn Storyline and other software tools quickly
SOFT SKILLS

WORK ENVIRONMENT / ONSITE REQUIREMENTS
Must reside in the Metro Detroit area Hybrid role: Tuesdays onsite required, additional onsite days based on project needs Must be able to enter the Auburn Hills garage to photograph components/vehicles
PRE‑QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SUPPLIERS
Portfolio required for all candidates with instructional design background Portfolio must include interactive Storyline work, not just static 'next button' courses Supplier should confirm candidate:
Has technical aptitude (even basic tool familiarity) Can handle SME interviews Can speak clearly and professionally in interviews Has stable work history (avoid short stints & high turnover)
