We are currently hiring experienced Yard Dog / Jockey Drivers for a busy warehouse yard in Louisville, KY. This is a great opportunity for safety-focused drivers looking for steady, local work in a fast-paced environment.
Position: Yard Dog / Spotter Driver Starting at $24/hr.
Location: Louisville, KY Local Yard Position - No OTR Driving
Responsibilities
Safely operate yard truck / spotter truck to move trailers in the yard
Spot and back trailers into dock doors for loading and unloading
Stage trailers in designated areas for production and shipping
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard equipment
Maintain trailer movement logs and yard organization
Communicate with shipping/receiving teams to coordinate trailer moves
Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
Requirements
Minimum 1 years of Yard Dog / Spotter / Jockey experience REQUIRED
Valid Driver's License (CDL A or B preferred but not required)
Experience backing trailers into tight dock spaces
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work in fast-paced warehouse environment
