Premier Staffing Solution is hiring experienced Class A Yard Drivers for one of our clients in Louisville, KY. As a Class A Yard Driver, you will be responsible for moving trailers to and from the dock doors as necessary. Mandatory overtime is possible and likely. This is a direct hire full time position that offers competitive compensation with paid holidays, vacation, and 401k plan. Yard Drivers are members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 89.
Job Requirements
Valid Class A CDL License preferred
High school diploma or GED
Yard Spotting experience is highly preferred
Minimum 1 year of verifiable work experience
Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) and background
Current DOT medical card, or the ability to obtain one
Abide by all OSHA rules, DOT regulations and Premier Staffing Solution Safety Practices
Abide by all rules and regulations as they pertain to the Teamsters Contract
What to expect as a Class A Yard Driver:
Prioritize workload
Perform inspection of vehicle prior to and after operation
Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management
Chock trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading
Orderly maintenance of the yard
Inspection of trailers prior to loading
Will be responsible for inputting data into a Yard Management System
Maintain a Level of Service within a 2 hour turn around
Ensure cleanliness of work area is maintained
Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met
Cross training as required
Other duties as needed or assigned
