We are seeking a Plant Controller to serve as the primary financial leader for a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations at the plant level, including reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
As a key member of the site leadership team, this position partners closely with operations and corporate finance to drive performance, improve efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the financial lead and a key member of the site leadership team
Manage and oversee the plant's income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
Own and deliver accurate and timely financial reporting
Lead cost accounting activities, including coordination with broader finance teams
Manage inventory controls and material usage, including physical inventory and cycle counts
Monitor and analyze labor productivity and support operational efficiency initiatives
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, including audit support and training
Analyze monthly financial results and collaborate with plant leadership to drive improvements
Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and support monthly planning processes
Lead the capital expenditure (CapEx) process, including forecasting, project justification, and tracking results
Drive cost reduction, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support financial performance improvements across multiple facilities as needed
Work Environment
High level of interaction with operations, finance, and cross-functional teams
Based in a manufacturing facility with occasional travel to other locations
Combination of office and plant floor exposure
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Experience in cost accounting strongly preferred
MBA or CPA is a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred)
Experience supporting or leading system implementations or integrations is highly desirable
