Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machinist / Fabrication Technician to set up and operate conventional, specialized, and CNC machinery to produce metal and non-metal components. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, performing precision machining, and assembling components to meet quality and performance standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machine tools such as mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment to fabricate parts
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to determine machining requirements
  • Measure, mark, and layout workpieces for machining operations
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Perform trial runs and inspections to verify machining accuracy and tolerances
  • Fabricate, assemble, and fit components into complete assemblies
  • Conduct basic welding, grinding, and finishing operations as needed
  • Troubleshoot machining or assembly issues and collaborate with engineering or production teams to resolve them
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in machining, fabrication, or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Entry-level to experienced candidates considered based on demonstrated skills

 

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment
  • Experience with manual and/or CNC machines
  • Basic understanding of measurement tools and inspection techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
