We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Category Manager to support Supply Chain operations within a healthcare environment. This role plays a critical part in managing contracting processes, ensuring compliance, and mitigating organizational risk through thorough review and execution of agreements.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, and stakeholder collaboration, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, revise, and analyze contract documents in alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements
Manage the full contracting lifecycle, including creating, redlining, executing, and maintaining agreements
Ensure compliance with internal departments such as Legal, Finance, IT, Privacy, and Supply Chain leadership
Evaluate contracts and documentation to mitigate risk prior to approval and signature
Maintain contract records within designated systems and repositories
Track and manage sourcing and contracting workflows using tools such as Workday Strategic Sourcing
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to align with business objectives
Support sourcing initiatives, research, and value analysis across assigned categories
Provide updates and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership
Contribute to supplier engagement and diversity initiatives
Serve as backup support for other Category Managers as needed
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
2+ years of experience in sourcing and contracting, including negotiating terms and conditions
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking skills
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting
Experience leading negotiations, solicitations, pricing agreements, and bid proposals independently
Familiarity with contract compliance and regulatory requirements
Experience with contract management systems (e.g., Workday Strategic Sourcing)
Certification in paralegal studies (a plus)
Proficiency in PowerPoint
