Responsibilities * Perform visual inspections and measurements on incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Materials will include both refractory and sheet metal. * Identify and report any non-conformances or deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel. * Conduct regular inspections of production processes to monitor quality control parameters and identify areas for improvement. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. * Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and documentation. * Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements. * Support the department's safety initiatives, apply knowledge of industrial safety standards, and identify health hazards.
Job Requirements
Required Skills * Able to interpret technical documentation (e.g. specifications, design prints, SOPs, etc.) * Proficient in using hand measurement tools and equipment. * Strong knowledge of quality control methods, practices, and procedures. * High attention to detail. * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. * Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. * Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Skills * Previous manufacturing experience * Metal fabrication and welding knowledge * Metrology experience (e.g. CMM, vision systems, 3D scanning, etc.) * Solidworks/CAD understanding
