The Pack Team Member is responsible for inspecting finished goods, ensuring they meet quality standards, and carefully packing them for shipment. Attention to detail is essential, as this role involves verifying product specifications, labeling packages, and preparing materials for transport. In this hands-on position, you will work closely with team members to maintain an efficient workflow and support overall production operations.

Duties/Responsibilities
Repetitively lift aluminum extrusions up to forty feet in length and weighing up to 50 pounds from metal basket carriers to packing conveyors
Gather materials needed for framing bundles, including tape, stretch wrap, cardboard, paper, banding, and other packing supplies
Visually inspect metal while forming bundles for burrs, scratches, chips, gouges, dents, bubbles, die lines, and other defects
Ensure all pieces meet or exceed specifications; contact foreman, supervisor, or inspector for approval as needed
Assemble bundles per instructions using packing materials to meet specifications
Record appropriate piece counts or weight counts daily
Record the time it takes to pack a bundle
Push baskets on wheels into and out of workstations
Carry scrap metal to scrap carts
Maintain a neat and orderly work area, including general housekeeping upon completion of tasks
Assist with general housekeeping of the shipping area
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment
Positive and respectful attitude toward co-workers and customers
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
Regular attendance required
