Job Description

  • Use sourcing strategy/recruitment programs to attract, identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Proactive sourcing to identify potential candidates by effectively using recruitment technology, cold calling, database mining, and networking.
  • Develop and foster relationships with industry specific external partners to develop effective and efficient sourcing pipeline. 
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify detailed and accurate job descriptions (job requirements, qualifications, and skills) and establish hiring criteria for each position.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop and implement effective position recruitment strategies based on the organization's needs and industry best practices.
  • Establish Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B) recruitment best practices with effective approaches to attract, recruit, select, and hire.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to screen candidate resumes and select qualified candidates.
  • Partner with hiring teams to coordinate and schedule interviews; oversee the preparation of interviews and other hiring and selection materials and processes to foster a positive candidate experience.
  • Provide candidates with an overview of MEC's core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect and Drive, position requirements, compensation and benefits, company policies, and other pertinent information during the interview and the employment offer processes.
  • Partner with hiring managers and the HR Manager during the candidate employment offer process, providing position salary range details, potential start dates, and other pertinent information.
  • Attend recruiting events (industry conferences, university job fairs, etc.) as needed.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding procedures .
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Additional clerical functions that follow the employee lifecycle. 
  • Plan and manage the daily social media components that contribute to the overall communications department mission while maintaining a positive image for the company.
  • Active member of the company-wide HR Working Group. 
  • Support the strategic Human Resources initiatives as identified in the Business Operating Plans.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Five years experience of sourcing and recruiting talent and/or increasing responsibility in Human Resources preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in professional level recruiting (corporate or agency) required
Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Effectively prioritizing responsibilities to produce results in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in recruiting technology (internet crawlers, Boolean searches).
  • Active listening and proactive solution provider
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn and apply new skills
  • Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments
  • Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience with iCIMS or ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint expertise required
  • Project management and change management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Up to date on key federal, state and local laws and regulations
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
