Our client is based in the Atlanta Metro area and we seek a candidate preferably in this area.
Job Description:
Position Overview: The Senior Superintendent plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of construction projects, overseeing all on-site activities and ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints. With a wealth of experience and expertise, the Senior Superintendent provides leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the on-site team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Coordination: Assume overall leadership responsibility for the construction project, coordinating activities with project managers, subcontractors, and trade partners. Lead by example, instilling a culture of safety, quality, and accountability among on-site personnel.
  2. Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, encompassing scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics management. Oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, schedules, and budgetary constraints.
  3. Training and Development: Serve as a mentor and coach to junior superintendents and field staff, providing guidance, support, and training to nurture their professional growth and enhance their technical expertise. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment conducive to learning and skill development.
  4. Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on quality assurance and safety compliance, implementing and enforcing rigorous standards and protocols to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and address potential safety hazards or quality concerns.
  5. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Establish effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities. Keep stakeholders informed of project progress, milestones, and any issues or challenges that may arise, proactively seeking solutions to mitigate potential impacts.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, identifying opportunities to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver greater value to clients. Leverage lessons learned from past projects to implement best practices and refine project execution strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 10-15 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery from ground breaking to final.
  • Specific experience in the construction of Hospital, Surgical or Medical Facilities
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve excellence.
  • Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
