Job Description

This position assures aII products produced Me safe and meet company standards for quality and consistency in Manufacturing facility. This role requirements are met pertaining to product quality and safety.
  • Review, maintenance and monitor food safety plans and HACCP programs at our Nashville TN facility.
  • Report and communicate any plant QA/QC observation to the Quality Manager.
  • Work with QA team and plant leadership to ensure all finished product meet or exceeds specifications.
  • Ensure facility meets or exceeds sanitation requirements
  • Perform pre-operational sanitation inspections in all processing and storage environments.
  • Perform microbiological Sampling according to HACCP plan: i.e. Simple collection, analysis, interpretation and safety.
  • Drive corrective and preventative action processes ensuring full identification of issues, root cause analysis, and validation ensuring qua lit
  • Review and manage electronic and had copy records ensuring auditing compliance for established control points. and critical control points
  • Provide coverage for, Quality Assurance Manager as needed.
  • Ensure personnel conform to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Initiate/execute internal audits and trainings to maintain highest standard for food Safety, food quality and food defense.
  • Provide coverage for Quality Assurance Manager, as needed.
  • Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Job Requirements

  • HACCP Certification, Food Safety Certification, audit training and familiarity with SQF requirements required
  • Ability to develop, manage, and train on HACCP program, GMP.s., integrated pest management programs, sanitation, chemical control. Product recall, and SQF
  • Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentially, meet deadlines and work in a team environment is essential
  • Strong computer skills necessary, including proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word. and Outlook), [ Electronic Data Management
  • Ability to maintain organized electronic files
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in varied temperature environments (0-5O deg.)-COLD ENVIRONMENT
  • Visual, auditory and hand dexterity.
  • Full body mobility.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Good hand/eye Coordination.
  • Adequate reading/language, writing and math skills..
  • Heavy lifting required-some over 5Olbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and to write.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in aII units of measure. using whole numbers. common fractions, and decimals
  • Experience within a FDA and/or USDA compliance facility required.
  • Five years' work experience in quality assurance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-based area of study-Food Science/Microbiology degree preferred or equivalent combination of education
