Plant Controller - Manufacturing Finance
Overview
We are seeking a Plant Controller to serve as the primary financial leader for a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations at the plant level, including reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
As a key member of the site leadership team, this position partners closely with operations and corporate finance to drive performance, improve efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the financial lead and a key member of the site leadership team
- Manage and oversee the plant's income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Own and deliver accurate and timely financial reporting
- Lead cost accounting activities, including coordination with broader finance teams
- Manage inventory controls and material usage, including physical inventory and cycle counts
- Monitor and analyze labor productivity and support operational efficiency initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, including audit support and training
- Analyze monthly financial results and collaborate with plant leadership to drive improvements
- Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and support monthly planning processes
- Lead the capital expenditure (CapEx) process, including forecasting, project justification, and tracking results
- Drive cost reduction, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support financial performance improvements across multiple facilities as needed

- High level of interaction with operations, finance, and cross-functional teams
- Based in a manufacturing facility with occasional travel to other locations
- Combination of office and plant floor exposure
