Maintenance Technician - start out on night shift, and then you will have option to go to other shifts
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician supports the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program to reduce unscheduled downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and facility systems while upholding safety, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Analyze equipment issues and perform troubleshooting and repairs
- Perform mechanical maintenance on production and facility equipment
- Inspect, test, and validate machinery performance after repairs
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, GMPs, and OSHA standards
- Troubleshoot plant mechanical systems and implement sustainable solutions
- Complete work orders on time and maintain detailed maintenance records
- Assist with equipment changeovers and production line startups
- Identify and manage spare parts inventory and reorder needs
- Ensure products meet quality standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team projects
- Maintain clear communication across departments
- Develop technical and leadership skills through ongoing training
Facility & Equipment Support
- Maintain and safely operate plant utility systems, including:
- Steam boilers
- Water chillers
- Cooling towers
- HVAC systems
- Well pumps and other utilities
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Lift 50–70 lbs and perform repetitive motions
- Stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Climb ladders and work at elevated heights (including lifts)
- Work in non-climate-controlled environments
- Exposure to oils, greases, chemicals, humidity, heat, and vibration
- May work in confined spaces
- Requires strong vision abilities (close, distance, depth, etc.)
