Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Rock Hill, SC. We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently hiring skilled Structural Welders for multiple positions in the US. Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to:

Four years of commercial/naval as a first-class Structural Welder.

Job Requirements

 

Qualification, education, and experience requirements:
  • Multi-pass. All position fillet and butt welds using the following processes: SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) and GMAW-P (Pulse Arc Welding). 
  • Heating - Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch. 
  • Experience working in a physically demanding environment (shipboard, sub-assemblies, ladders, staging, etc.). 
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry. 
  • Air Carbon Arc Gouging. 
  • Ability to properly use fillet and butt weld gauges. 
  • Required respirator fitness qualification exam; clean shaven face.

Welding Qualification: 
  • All Welders will be required to pass all position, Multi-pass Butt Weld, Welder Qualification Tests in accordance with MIL-STD-248D Paragraph 5.3.3 and the following: 
  • All position (Horizontal (2G), Vertical (3G), and Overhead (4G)) SMAW process. 
  • All position (Horizontal (2G), Vertical (3G), and Overhead (4G)) FCAW process.
  • Horizontal (2G) position GMAW process. 
  • Air Carbon Arc Gouging proficiency test.

Successful candidate must possess the willingness & ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to medical, psychological, background and substance abuse screening(s).

Physical Requirements
Heaving lifting up to 75lbs, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, crawling, confined space work, hot work, extreme temperature exposure, chemical exposure, and radiation exposure

Citizenship/ Work Authorization Requirements 
  • Proof of Identification - Driver's license or any other identification card issued by federal, state, or local government that contains a photograph and the person's name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and street address

Proof of US Citizenship (must provide one)
  • U.S. birth certificate (birth documents issued by a hospital, notifications of birth registrations; and Puerto Rico birth certificates issued before July 1, 2010, are not accepted
  • Valid, unexpired U.S. passport or U.S. passport card
  • U.S. Certificate of Citizenship or Certificate of Naturalization
  • A record of Military Processing-Armed forces of the United States (Form DD 1966), provided it reflects U.S. citizenship
