Professional skills and required qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional IT experience in either, but not limited to systems administration, systems engineering, and/or TCP/IP network administration;
- 2+ years of experience in Information Security role with a focus on patch management and vulnerability analysis;
- Experience with Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Assessment solution;
- Experience with Vulnerability Assessment solutions such as Nessus, Nexpose, Qualys, Accunetix;
- Knowledge of vulnerability classes and industry-standard classification schemes (CVE, CVSSv2, CVSSv3, CWE, CPE);;
- Ability to analyze a software vulnerability in order to appropriately characterize threat, provide remediation advice, and assign a meaningful severity score/priority;
- Strong technical knowledge of IT Networks, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Operating Systems and Enterprise integrations;
- Good understanding in one or more areas: Cyber Security Incident Response, Cryptography, Threat Assessment, Identity and Access Management, Data Protection, Security Architecture and Design;
- Advanced ability to recognizes, communicate, and mitigate information and technology risk;
- Participate in knowledge sharing with other analysts and develop customer solutions efficiently;
- Strong technical communication skills;
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
