BHI Energy has an opportunity for a  Commissioning Specialist who will be responsible  to ensure each turbine runs reliably after commissioning through the completion of the PRT and to ensure commissioning milestones are met throughout the project duration.

1) Gold Standard Installation - The commissioning specialist will inspect the turbine in conjunction with turbine superintendent and operations during the IIP to ensure the company quality standards have been met. The frequency will be every turbine until quality standards have been met. The expectation is that during the first 5 machine that we will have achieved the company quality standards. If quality has not been achieved by the first 5 turbines then report this to your supervisor, and the construction manager. If quality standards have been achieved, then change frequency to 10% checks or until quality standards are not adhered too. The 10% checks need to be random turbines and not discussed with the EPC or OEM prior to inspection

2) Gold Standard Commissioning - The commissioning specialist will inspect the turbine in conjunction with operations during the post commissioning turbine inspection to ensure company quality standards have been met. The frequency will be every turbine until quality standards have been met. The expectation is that during the first 5 post commissioning inspections that we will have achieved the quality standards. If quality has not been achieved by the first 5 turbines then report this to your supervisor, and the construction manager. If quality standards have been achieved, then change frequency to 10% checks or until quality standards are not adhered too. The 10% checks need to be random turbines and not discussed with the EPC or OEM prior to inspection

3) Reporting - All deficiencies noted in IIP and post commissioning inspection will be logged in a weekly report with assigned responsibilities and shared with the construction and commissioning manager.

4) Commissioning specialist will ensure that commissioning runs according to plan throughout the course of each project. Issues are to be discussed with OEM commissioning lead. If a resolution is not agreed upon the issue is to be brought up to the E&C construction manager and then discussed with the OEM site manager. If a resolution is not agreed upon the issue is brought up to the E&C project manager and E&C commissioning manager. Do not allow issues to escalate by assuming action has been taken – ensure changes have been implemented to drive the change desired

5) Commissioning specialist will communicate between EPC (MC, IIP, and quality teams), OEM (warranty and commissioning teams), PGD Ops, and E&C project team to ensure respective teams are working together to correct issues
a. Pre-construction point-to-point creation and implementation
b. Wiring issues
c. IIP Issues (related to electrical upgrades/wiring)
d. Commissioning issues
e. Post-commissioning issues

6) Commissioning specialist will ensure turbines are visible through SCADA and communicating throughout the project duration

7) Commissioning specialist will be directed by the E&C commissioning manager

8) Commissioning specialist will report to the on-site E&C construction manager while on respective project

9) All time-off to be approved by the E&C execution team (E&C project manager and E&C construction manager)

10) January – October commissioning specialist will receive, at the least, one 4-day weekend a month (Friday-Monday). Additional time off (family vacation, etc) can be requested during this time – every effort will be made to approve.

11) No time off guaranteed November and December

12) Other tasks will include assisting the on-site E&C construction manager with various activities

13) Commissioning specialist will communicate daily (as much as needed) to make sure the E&C construction manager know
