BHI Energy has a full time direct opportunity for a Principal Application Architect.  As the Principal Applications Architect, you will partner with the business and internal IT teams to deliver high value solutions by strategic design and implementation of integrated solutions within our enterprise applications tool sets.  The Principal Applications Architect will serve as the technical expert for companywide business applications and related domains.
Responsibilities:
35% - Design and develop connected solutions with Salesforce, SAP, or other enterprise applications
35% - Design and develop Microsoft 365 solutions using Power Platform, Azure LogicApps, SPFX, C#; Design and develop integrated business solutions that interact between multiple enterprise platforms and applications both on-premises and cloud (SAAS).  These systems include but are not limited to Microsoft 365 and Salesforce and integrating with SAP ERP, mobile platforms, and analytics systems.
20% - Work with business, digital agents and IT partners to evaluate and propose solutions; collaborate with business and IT leadership to develop and communicate long term vision and comprehensive strategic plans for solution architecture and delivery. Work with product owners, business users, and technical leads to define requirements, assess business value, and develop specifications for enterprise solutions.
5% - Document and monitor application interfaces and architecture; Develop and document architecture for enterprise applications and related integrations. Drive standards for development and design techniques used by enterprise application teams. Monitor emerging trends in enterprise application platforms and determine relevance and impact on the company. Use Agile best practice to design, and maintain solutions built in enterprise applications platforms.
5% - Other duties as assigned

 
Job Requirements

 

 
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 8+ years of relevant work experience.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience administrating and developing Microsoft solutions (SharePoint 2013, M365, SharePoint online, Flow, Power Platform, Azure LogicApps, C#, MS SQL).  2+ years of integration solutions preferably using middleware such as Informatica or Mulesoft; Experience with custom integration REST or web service APIs; Experience developing in Salesforce, K2, or SAP and any middleware preferred.
 Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Architectlevel development experience in Microsoft platforms including both Azure cloud and classic on-premises development:
- MS Developer Studio,  C#, .Net
- SQL relational database design, query development, stored procedures, views, triggers
- Automated provisioning and manipulation of M365 SharePoint and Teams
- SharePoint SPFX, javascript/jquery development
- Power Platform Application development
-  Azure Logic Apps development
-  Powershell scripting
Experience in Microsoft security and compliance desired.
Middleware and integration experience using an enterprise middleware tool i.e. Informatica, Mulesoft
Experience using custom API integrations with web services and REST
Ability to view video display terminal images < 18” away from face for extended periods of time – up to four (4) hours at a time. Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and telephone. Ability to sit for extended periods of time – up to four (4) hours at a time. Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds.
Working Conditions:
95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 5% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.
