BHI Energy is seeking a Manager of Human Resources for our growing business.  This position can be located in our West Palm Beach, FL or Weymouth, MA locations. The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for supporting the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function.

 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
  • Annually review and make recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures, and practices on human resources matters using independent judgment and exercising discretion.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure organization's compliance.
  • Maintain responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all human resources matters.
  • Communicate changes in the organization's human resources policies and procedures and ensure that proper compliance is followed.
  • Assist executive management in the annual review, preparation, and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
  • Coordinate or conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Consult with legal counsel as appropriate on human resources matters.
  • Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on human resources matters.
  • Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff development for the organization.
  • Investigate and make recommendations related to employee relations issues
  • Participate on committees and special projects and seek additional responsibilities.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

 
Job Requirements

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and 5+ years of related experience and training.  Ideal Candidate will have a Masters' degree.
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential or Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior, integrity and trust.  Knowledge of BHI Energy processes and procedures and utilization of developed tools to most effectively manage work.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of BHI and client technical manuals and procedures; BHI and client specific training and qualifications; an understanding of work requirements to include overtime, shift work, weekends, and holidays, as required; and be able to pass all background and screening requirements for the position, to include drug and/or alcohol screening.
  • Excellent working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite software is required.
  • Strong communication skills – both oral and written
  • Travel up to 25% of the time in the US and Canada.
 WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee will spend their time in a typical office environment and may observe employees, their progress with assigned work, and interface with both employees and client employees in an industrial environment. The employee is required to don the appropriate personal protective equipment when in an industrial environment requiring various degrees of protection.
