SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for the day to day operations for Hydro Services to include work scheduling, training, safety oversight, and management of personnel to ensure safe, smooth, and effective support for the client's needs. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Manage the day to day operations within the assigned area inclusive of daily work activities and assignments, training, and safety exercising independent judgment and discretion.
  2. Conduct periodic reviews of procedures, protocols and processes in an effort to identify improvement opportunities within the operation that will benefit BHI Energy and our client.
  3. Ensure a strong commitment to safety as the number one core value
  4. Provide strong leadership engagement with client and proactive posture regarding BHI performance.
  5. Establish a strong relationship with customer contacts by demonstrating trust, integrity, and honesty in dealing with each client engagement. 
  6. Set positive standards and expectations with identified supervisors and within all BHI employees assigned. 
  7. Install a culture of continuous improvement and error free performance with all employees assigned.
  8. Oversee the departmental operational budget focused on establishing cost savings and effectiveness.
  9. Remain visible, available and approachable to BHI Energy employees supporting assigned operational area.
  10. Support and foster a safety conscious work environment where all employees understand reporting options and opportunities for safety and work related concerns.
  11. Review and understand all contracts established with client in support of assigned operational area.  Ensure that site specific operations are in accordance with the contract and identified work scope.
  12. Function as a point of contact for BHI Energy with client in regards to operational and contract needs.  Maintain continuous client contact and focus on relationship management.
  13. Communicate with Managers, Supervisors and direct reports frequently to understand operational challenges and support requirements to ensure success of the contract within the assigned operational area.
  14. Conduct periodic site visits to meet with BHI Energy personnel and site management.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.  

 
Job Requirements

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • An ideal candidate will have an Associates' degree, preferably a bachelor's degree, in business or a related field and five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in the industry with at least three in a leadership role or the equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are required.
  • Must be able to effectively work with a variety of personnel to include external customers and clients, and internal personnel.
  • Knowledge of BHI Energy processes and procedures and utilization of developed tools to most effectively manage work is essential.
  • Experience with process improvement and change management ensuring that BHI Energy is using industry recognized continuous improvement program(s) is highly desirable.
  • An ideal candidate will be capable of being the process owner for the continuous improvement culture for the assigned contracts and will have experience implementing best practices and continuous improvement opportunities across the organization.
  • In addition, they must be highly skilled at influencing others to improve project and contract outcomes, understand when to engage support from Human Resources, Employee Concerns, and Staffing when necessary to develop and mentor talent, gather advice on personnel matters, and provide staffing/assignment direction.
  • Excellent computer skills, presentation skills, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks at one time are required.
  • Excellent working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite software is required.
  • Must actively demonstrate the company values and support the ethics standards.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior, integrity and trust.  Knowledge of BHI Energy processes and procedures and utilization of developed tools to most effectively manage work is essential.
  • Must actively demonstrate the BHI company values and support the BHI Ethics and Standards.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a working knowledge of BHI and client technical manuals and procedures; to pass BHI and client specific training and qualifications as required; subject to personnel call out as required in support of nuclear station emergent work requirements; to work overtime, to include shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed; and be able to pass all background and screening requirements for the position, to include drug and/or alcohol screening.
