Job Location:     The incumbent can virtually sit anywhere in Texas where there is a Braun Intertec office:  Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Allen, Corpus Christi, Beaumont, just to name a few. View their website and Texas locations.  

Services provide by Braun in Texas:  Our Texas team has been in place since 1995, providing geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and environmental consulting services. We provide specialty services including the following: deep foundation design and testing, building and structure sciences, nondestructive examination, drilling and cone penetration testing (CPT), geospatial and unmanned aerial vehicle services. Braun works with clients in Texas in the following industries: oil and gas, transportation, education, municipal, and commercial (including retail).

Job Description 

A Senior Air Quality Scientist/Engineer in our Environmental Compliance practice group works with clients to get their projects done on time, on budget, while exceeding expectations.  You will contribute to the firm's success by:

  • Collaborating closely with other members of the firm, listening to the client's needs, and developing solutions to meet their needs.
  • Strategizing with clients to become a true partner in their air quality permitting and compliance needs.
  • Coach and provide guidance to junior staff eager to grow.
  • Building relationships with clients, vendors, and partners through excellent project work.
  • Performing technical work and supporting project deliverables on complex air quality projects including:
  1. Working with clients to understand how their air permitting needs fit within existing regulations.
  2. Applying local, state, and federal regulations to client projects.
  3. Preparing air dispersion analyses and training junior staff in dispersion modeling.
  4. Performing technical peer reviews for documents prepared by staff.
  5. Collaborating with internal air team to grow the existing and new client base; and
  6. Keeping up with changes in regulations and sharing with the team.

 
Job Requirements

 

What We'd Love to See in You

  • BS degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Science, or related field
  • 12-20+ years of direct environmental regulatory compliance experience with a focus in air permitting and air quality modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance as they apply to industrial, energy, and commercial clients.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong desire to help build and grow a client base through diverse business development initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
