We are actively recruiting for a very well established, reputable and well financed animal nutrition company.  They are seeking an experienced Swine Consultant to represent their proven science based nutritional products along with their other AG based services that help Swine Producers be more profitable.  We need a top performer in direct-to-farm swine sales.  These are established territories with significant market presence.  You will work from your home office.

The job
  • Identify areas that have concentrations of independent/mid-size pig growers and market the company’s offerings in these areas.  Once sold, the consultant manages the relationships and is the liaison between the company’s experts and the customer.
  • The process for marketing the services/products begins with meeting with the owner (and possibly managers) of the swine operation to identify pain points, low-performance areas, or growth opportunities.  Once identified, then a return visit with an overview of potential solutions/options and an explanation of process and costs.  The next step is to bring in the company expert to help close the sale. 
  • From there, the consultant manages the sales process, the introduction of services/products and the ongoing relationship.
To be considered for this job
  • A creative, solutions-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to sell
  • 10 years of experience in the swine industry in nutrition or health sales, veterinary services, production management, or similar experience.
  • A large professional network within swine production
  • The ability to be self-managed
  • Ability to overnight travel 30%
