Summary:
The veterinarian will be part of a progressive team of health professionals, producers, nutritionists, geneticists, technical advisors, researchers, and support team members.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Provides veterinary support and technical services to nucleus, multiplication, sow production, and nursery finish systems
Conducts diagnostic investigations and prescribes timely, progressive, and effective interventions
Executes health monitoring programs
Manages and performs regulatory duties
Oversees animal welfare and Pork Quality Assurance programs
Maintains biosecurity processes at all levels of production
Job Requirements
To be considered for this role:
DVM degree from an accredited U.S. College of Veterinary Medicine
Ability to become licensed and accredited in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota
Knowledge of swine diseases and the pork industry
Swine experience is preferred (Min. 3 yrs.)
