Global biotech co. with revenue over $180M seeks Swine Sales Specialist to sell a diversified product line of specialty ingredients, enzymes and moisture control products to Pork Powerhouses, pig & layer producers in IA, MN, MO, and IL. 
 
We are looking for a forward-thinker with practical knowledge of pig/layer production and a track record of success selling science-based products to technical people.
 
The job:
  1. Visit with customers and call on nutritionists, feed mills, layer/pig producers to introduce products. Schedule meetings, manage reports, build and strengthen relationships with decision makers & influencers.
  2. Optimize & maintain contacts with existing clients, identify and select new business and customer prospects. Manage the market in terms of sales volume and margins. (80% customer focused, 20% paperwork)
  3. Consult and negotiate with distributors/customers on pricing, delivery and application possibilities. Identify new business opportunities.
  4. Facilitate and initiate field trials with pork & layer producers. Work with customer/s and leadership team to communicate findings and participate in internal decision making on improvements/innovations and sales strategies.
  5. Travel: 40% on average

To be seriously considered, candidate/s must have:
  • At least 3 years of experience selling feed ingredients or nutritional products in within the swine business (experience w/ layers a big plus!)
  • Must live in IA, MN, MO and IL. Able to travel 40% 
  • Deep connections w/ nutritionists, decision makers & influencers 
  • Strong communication & presentation skills.
