Associate Transmission Engineer - Overhead & Underground Design (King of Prussia, PA)

About the Role: (Hybrid) 
ExecuPOWER is seeking an Associate Transmission Engineer to assist in the design and implementation of overhead and underground transmission lines. Based in King of Prussia, PA, you will play a critical role in developing technical designs and ensuring compliance with industry and client standards in the power delivery industry.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist in preparing design deliverables for both overhead and underground transmission lines, ensuring they meet industry standards.
  • Develop design criteria such as the routing and siting of transmission lines, placement of manholes, and duct bank design.
  • Perform ampacity calculations, pulling calculations, and draft construction specifications.
  • Collaborate with vendors and clients to specify transmission line components for projects.
  • Conduct field visits to verify routing conditions and ensure compliance with material specifications and quality standards.
  • Review drawings from manufacturers and integrate relevant information into design documentation.
  • Ensure all activities comply with federal, state, and client safety regulations, including adherence to environmental standards.
  • Use appropriate PPE and maintain a safe working environment in line with ExecuPOWER and client safety protocols.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including writing technical reports, preparing job status updates, and submitting timesheets.
  • Support power restoration efforts in response to client needs during natural disaster events.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Familiarity with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWERMFAD, or LPILE software is an advantage.
  • Experience with AutoCADMicroStation, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is highly desired.
  • Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and customer-focused individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
