Assume the role of 'Communications Coordinator' in all events, including emergency situations. Receive complaints/requests for assistance from other departments, guests or outside agencies via radio and telephone, and assigns or advises Security personnel as needed. Monitor all cameras to provide asset protection, prevention of illegal activities, and the safety of guests and associates through the use of closed-circuit television (CCTV) and the Telex Radio Communication Channels. Monitor alarms and maintains logs of communication transmissions. Provide outstanding guest service by protecting hotel guests, employees, and property while maintaining a level of visibility based on Rosen Standards.
This job requires extensive walking, standing, bending, going up and down flights of stairs, and working outside, regardless of weather conditions, for almost the entire shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Experience High School diploma or equivalent plus one to three years of security experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age and have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the general public especially in emergency/stressful situations.
