We are seeking a Storm Water/Water Resources Senior Engineer/Scientist in our San Diego Offices.
Candidates must have a strong work ethic and an interest in working predominantly with municipal infrastructure in stormwater/water resources field. To qualify as a candidate, you must have 12 to 15 years of progressively responsible experience in storm water/water resources engineering and possess at least a B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related science or other engineering field. Candidates with an M.S. in the above disciplines, engineering and/ or analytical science experience and either an Engineering-In-Training or Professional Engineering Registration are preferred, but all motivated individuals are encouraged to apply. Experience working with San Diego area public agencies and familiarity with local municipal, industrial and construction storm water permits is highly desirable. Candidates must possess excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills.
The selected candidate will work in our team-oriented environment, primarily providing public sector clients with professional services for storm water permit compliance, storm water management and planning, flood analysis and abatement, climate change adaptation, and water resource quantity and quality management. The candidate will also be responsible for managing a portfolio of work and assist in the sales and marketing of services.
If selected, you will work with technical teams and be expected to provide a diverse range of water resources engineering services which may include:
- Permit compliance activities
- Planning (quantity and quality analyses, modeling, capital improvements, asset management)
- Design (green infrastructure, selection, sizing, placement)
- Bidding, construction administration, other (dependent on years of experience)
