Kleinfelder is seeking an Environmental Technician to be based out of our Hamilton NJ office.
 
We are currently seeking a high energy, mechanically-inclined individual to work outdoors performing environmental field sampling services. 
  • The work primarily consists of soil, groundwater and vapor sampling and operations and maintenance of remediation systems. 
  • The position will include the oversite and leadership of subcontractors performing a variety of activities included, but not limited to drilling, groundwater sampling, hazardous materials assessments, site walk through and excavation activities. 
  • This position is 90% in the field, in all weather conditions, and is physically and mechanically demanding (must be able to lift 50 pounds).
  • Experience with operation, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of groundwater remediation systems is a plus. 
Candidates must be independent, very responsible, mature, and willing to travel. 
 
Effective and concise written and verbal communication skills are critical, and the candidate must be comfortable with common personal computing software.
 
The candidate must have an appreciation for the importance of adhering to a safety culture that believes that all accidents are preventable.
 
The candidate will be expected to follow written technical procedures and document field activities commensurate with individual project expectations.
 
H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. is required. A 2 or 4-year industrial or technical degree or training is preferred.
 
Candidates must have a good driving record and a valid Driver’s License.
 
40-hour OSHA Health and Safety Training and First Aid/CPR training preferred.
