Details:

Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP) is adding a Software Data Specialist to be an important member of our growing Continuous Improvement team. As a Continuous Improvement Software Data Specialist, you will work closely with both operational and medical leadership teams to collect, organize, and analyze data for various aspects of the business.  The ideal candidate will use their clinical veterinary experience and analytical skills to help initiate and drive future success of the company. The candidate will be deadline driven and able to work independently to ensure data is accurate and easy to understand.

 

How you'll make an impact: 

 

You will play a significant role in improving change management at the hospital level by:

 

  • Collecting and organizing veterinary hospital datasets using hospital practice management software and other advanced reporting tools.
  • Identifying issues with data integrity and independently troubleshooting and problem-solving solutions as needed.  
  • Identifying potential roadblocks for each hospital based on individual software and billing code audits and communicating these clearly and concisely.
  • Recognizing when a deeper analysis of data is required and performing additional investigations.
  • Auditing software for discrepancies as needed.
  • Reporting errors or data input issues as needed to other teams within the organization. 
  • Creating standards for collecting and organizing data for multiple software applications.
  • Working with a growing team to develop and improve overall efficiency.
  • Offering any additional support as needed.
  • Ability/willingness to travel, both long distance or air travel if needed, up to 5% of the time.

 

Talents you'll bring to MVP: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, Certified Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Practice Manager, or other Veterinary management experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of veterinary clinical practice, veterinary medical terminology, financial analysis, and training background is expected
  • Excellent computer proficiency (Excel, Excel-Ablebits, MS Office - Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Power BI, and some Microsoft SQL or other database knowledge preferable.
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one veterinary practice management software (including both front and back-end knowledge) with capability to learn software systems quickly
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy with clinical and business focus.
  • Ability to recognize data integrity issues and problem solve findings with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines, while maintaining proficiency in an ever-changing environment 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams
  • Willing to work variable hours
