RYVAN Recruiting is looking for a Construction Superintendent in the Ft Myers / Naples area who will be responsible for assisting the Project Managers with the coordination and completion of multiple Division 5 construction projects with a focus on custom metal fabricated products for commercial projects. The Superintendent must be able to travel between locations and some overnights may be required.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing assistance to the Project Manager by tracking project milestones, managing resources, and adjusting schedules to align with project goals and client expectations.
  • Oversee and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring that all onsite personnel, including subcontractors and vendors, adhere to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct daily evaluations of project progress, generating comprehensive reports and updates for management to ensure transparency on the project's status, risks, and achievements.
  • Regularly inspect work for adherence to project specifications, building codes, and quality standards. Address any issues proactively to maintain project integrity and reduce rework.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors and subcontractors, facilitating communication and providing direction to ensure that work is completed to specifications.
  • Update changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring all adjustments are properly documented and approved through established verification techniques.
  • Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, minimizing disruptions and ensuring smooth project flow.
  • Communicate directly with clients as needed, clarifying project details and specific requirements to ensure alignment between client expectations and project execution.
  • Develop and maintain all project-related documentation, including spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps, to support clear communication and continuous improvement.
  • Track and measure project performance using established tools and techniques, ensuring all goals are met effectively and efficiently.

 
Job Requirements

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years working experience in project management within the Construction Industry 
  • Division 5 - Miscellaneous Metals preferred 
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Proficient with multi-unit, commercial and residential projects
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore and Microsoft Office
