Role Overview: The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for directing all sales and business development initiatives for our staffing agency. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, offering a commission-only structure with significant earning potential for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The BDM will play a critical role in expanding our client base by identifying and securing new business opportunities for Direct Hire Staffing and Recruiting services.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively generate leads through cold and warm calls, emails, and in-person meetings with prospective employers.
Identify and build relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers at target companies.
Execute contracts for Direct Hire Staffing and Recruiting services, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients to meet or exceed performance metrics.
Represent the agency professionally, articulating our value proposition to prospective clients.
Collaborate with the agency team to ensure seamless delivery of staffing solutions to new clients.
Job Requirements
Performance Metrics:
Add 50+ new contacts per week to the agency's network (e.g., hiring managers, HR professionals, or business decision-makers).
Close 3+ new clients per month, securing contracts for staffing and recruiting services and open job orders.
Compensation Structure:
This is a commission-only role with no base salary.
Commission Rate: 30% of fees collected from new business brought in by the BDM.
Payments will be issued upon receipt of client fees for completed contracts.
Unlimited earning potential based on performance and ability to close deals.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role (staffing or recruiting industry experience is a plus but not required).
Strong ability to conduct cold and warm outreach, including calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Comfortable working independently in a commission-only environment.
Familiarity with ATS and CRM tools and contact management systems is preferred.
