A Financial Software client of ours in the Wayne, PA area is looking to bring on an Agile Coach in a 6-month Contract to Hire basis. The Agile Coach will help shape the organization in developing behaviors that support agility at the team and enterprise level and provide a platform for continuous learning and growth. The ability to use your knowledge of various domains facilitating, mentoring and professional coaching techniques will be critical in influencing multiple teams in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on coaching and teaching for teams - including how to perform key Agile ceremonies such as planning sessions and daily stand-ups and how to effectively utilize Agile artefacts such as product backlogs
  • Lead agile teams through product framing and discovery, including defining business KPIs, product vision, user story mapping, and other framing activities
  • Identify and raise challenges and obstacles and work collaboratively with the Center of Excellence and coaches to resolve them
  • Enable teams to realize their mission and deliver on their KPI’s
  • Anticipate and resolve or escalate potential blockers, e.g., resource constraints or skill gaps, that prevent the team from doing its best work
  • Ensure that teams are interacting with dependent stakeholders effectively, assess and enhance the maturity of teams
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement within each team
  • Establish self-sufficient coaching expertise and support within Commercial Software and Technology
  • Championing the mindset changes and belief re-sets required to affect the desired business results
  • Help identify organizational impediments and work with the leadership team to create effective strategies to overcome them
  • Perform maturity assessments to baseline team performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Providing ongoing training and resources to equip team members with practices to enhance their Agile maturity
  • Participate in the Agile Coach community groups to share best practices and ways of working

 
Job Requirements

 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field such as information systems, mathematics, or computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Typically possesses up to 7 years of relevant work experience. Consideration given to equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, including coaching and mentorship experience
  • Experience in creating agile training and workshop material
  • Knowledge in agile practices such as: Scrum, Lean, and Kanban
  • Experience in agile management tools like JIRA, VersionOne etc. with a view to standardized agile metrics and dashboards
  • Familiarity with BDD, TDD a plus
  • Experience in coaching Agile teams through the adoption of agile practices in multiple prior engagements
  • Experience in coaching Agile teams through the adoption of agile practices in multiple prior engagements
  • Facilitate conflict resolution, teaching and mentoring others in facilitating discussions and alternatives of different approaches
  • Are strong change agents and can influence mind-set and behaviors
  • Model good listening skills, asking questions and giving feedback
  • Experience working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Assesses progress, identifies issues, organizes coaching sessions, and provides recommendations, as necessary
Highly Desirable Skills:
  • Certification in SAFe
