Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Control Up Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and optimizing our IT infrastructure using ControlUp software. This role will involve analyzing system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the highest levels of operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Management: Utilize ControlUp to monitor the performance of virtual environments, applications, and infrastructure components. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues proactively.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze system metrics and logs to identify trends and areas for improvement. Implement best practices for optimization and efficiency within virtual environments.
  • Troubleshooting: Work closely with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, user experience, and system reliability using ControlUp tools.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights on system performance, usage patterns, and potential improvements. Present findings to stakeholders and recommend solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with IT staff, developers, and management to ensure alignment on performance objectives and project goals. Provide training and support to team members on ControlUp functionalities.
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices related to ControlUp usage. Ensure that all changes and updates are accurately logged.

 
Job Requirements
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with ControlUp or similar monitoring and management tools.
  • Strong understanding of virtual environments (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft Hyper-V) and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Citrix Certified Associate) are a plus.
