Job Description

We seek a Senior SAP Basis Administrator L3 with project management and customer management skills to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be fully responsible for the SAP BASIS solutions for a customer portfolio.
The candidate can act directly or coordinate a team of technicians assigned to the clients by the SAP Technical Service Manager, supplying the technical management, support, and maintenance of the SAP environments, including project definition and delivery and overall operational integrity.
This role requires a deep understanding of SAP systems, proactive problem-solving skills, and working collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
This is a technical position with customer management and budget responsibilities. It offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the strategic aspect of SAP technologies implementation and to play a critical role in supervising and supporting local and external SAP BASIS teams.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Act as a senior technical expert in SAP BASIS and/or coordinate a technical team assigned, providing guidance, L3 support, and direct troubleshooting as needed.
  • Design SAP BASIS Project, implementing and/or coordinating the activities.
  • Manage the portfolio of SAP projects, ensuring quality control and alignment with customer expectations.  
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members and act as a point of escalation for critical issues. 
  • Maintain and enhance the relationship with customer area representatives, ensuring high levels of trust and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Engagement Lead to create new opportunities for assigned customers and optimize profitability.
  • Budget management.
  • Support the Tower Lead and Customer Engagement lead for invoicing, credit management, and activity reporting.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to SAP system architecture, technical annex, and procedures.  
  • Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and best practices to recommend improvements and innovations.

 
Job Requirements
 

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.  
  • Proven technical background in SAP BASIS (including system management, installations, configurations, upgrades, S/4HANA conversion, migration, and OS administration for SAP) with the ability to manage, governance, and support tasks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage relationships with customer representatives, including those from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Seniority in the field, with a focus on delivering high-quality services rather than holding specific certifications or formal education levels.
  • Good communication skills in English.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud environments and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, especially as they relate to SAP RISE.
  • Certifications in SAP Basis or related areas are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages for system administration tasks.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
